Tigerzyme® Enzyme Fluids | Well Stimulation
Improved Oil Recovery (IOR)
Many older fields still have significant original oil in place (OOIP) that can be recovered. Conventional primary and secondary recovery operations often leave two-thirds of the oil in the reservoir. Most tertiary oil recovery in the U.S. utilizes either steam for cyclic steaming or steam-flooding; or CO2 injection. Further development of these technologies has been limited historically by fluctuations in oil prices, high infrastructure costs, thermal efficiencies (mainly depth) and availability of naturally occurring CO2. Tigerzyme 22-E gives operators an effective enzyme fluid and simple way to stimulate marginal oil wells to improve production. It is also an economical and environmentally friendly.
What are enzymes?
"Enzymes are special kinds of proteins that are found in all living matter. However, enzymes themselves are not living organisms. Enzymes are catalysts: substances which speed up chemical reactions by being present in very small amounts and without being changed in the reaction." (Enzyme Technical Association)
What is Tigerzyme?
Tigerzyme 22-E is a proprietary aqueous-based enzyme fluid. This product utilizes selectively screened oil-loving microbes that are batched fermented to generate enzymes, than are blended with a unique combination of surfactants. The final product does not contain living microbes. This technology has been referred to as "enzyme enhanced oil recovery" (EEOR) to avoid confusion with microbes or MEOR. The enzymes impart bio-surfactant properties that assist in attacking carbon and nitrogen bonds on longer hydrocarbon chains. This help improves relative permeability near wellbore and reduces viscosity. Unlike microbes, Tigerzyme22-E doesn't require nutrients or feeding because it's non-living Tigerzyme22-E was developed to provide a cost effective fluid for well stimulation. Jumpstart is developing new enzyme fluids for specific applications to add to the Tigerzymefamily of products.
